Workshop Description:
The Hip-Hop Dance Workshop is dedicated to exploring the foundations of Hip-Hop dance and Hip-Hop freestyle: basic steps, social dances, grooves, and connection to music. Participants will practice through drills to refine technique and train the body in movement, learn routines and sequences using the steps learned, and explore freestyle through exercises and games. They will also be encouraged to dance together in a social context — much like in clubs or parties — reflecting the cultural roots of Hip-Hop.
The focus will be on foundation, grooves, musicality, and developing their freestyle.
Teacher’s Biography:
Nadia Gherman is born and raised in Cluj-Napoca, currently based in Bucharest for the past year and a half. She has been dancing since the age of 11, moving through modern dance, choreography, and contemporary, before fully dedicating herself, since 2019, to the world of street dance, with a strong focus on Hip-Hop freestyle. Over the years, she has taken part in numerous battles and events both in Romania and abroad (such as Red Bull Dance Your Style, Street Groove Jam, Random Circles, Back to the Style) and has learned from internationally renowned dancers and mentors — from pioneers in New York to influential teachers from across Europe and Romania. Her style is also shaped by Lite Feet, House, and contemporary dance, which together give her a wide, conscious, and versatile approach to movement.
Company’s Description:
Contemporary Creative Dreamers Dance Company is an independent cultural organization which carries out its activity in the field of Choreographic Art since 2018, the year in which the company was established at the initiative of the choreographer Daniel Alexandru Dragomir.
The purpose of the organization is to build a favorable context for carrying out activities artistic in the area of contemporary dance, for young dancers, performers, composers and visual artists.
Among the main objectives are listed:
1. Development of Choreographic Art in Romania through the production and broadcasting of performances by contemporary dance at national and international level;
2. Increasing the quality of training of professional dancers by organizing programs intensive professional training;
3. Supporting the new generation of professionals through projects dedicated to pupils and students state and private vocational education institutions;
4. Encouraging the practice of contemporary dance as a form of physical development by any person by constantly organizing contemporary dance workshops for amateurs;
5. Connecting to the international context and building an educational platform international by inviting and hosting workshops supported by teachers who operates in the European Union, the United States of America and Asia;
